About Gemma

Hello! My name is Gemma, and I am a fully qualified yoga teacher. Movement has always been central to my life, from sports and dance to yoga. Alongside my teaching, I’m also the co-founder of KNST Collective, an arts organisation focused on widening access to the arts for young people. I bring these experiences into my yoga teaching through a thoughtful, holistic approach to movement. My aim is to help you feel more at home in your body, building strength, flexibility, and confidence in a way that feels supportive and sustainable. I also encourage a sense of curiosity and creativity in practice, so the confidence you build on the mat can carry into everyday life. Each session is tailored to suit individual needs and goals, whether you’re new to yoga, returning to movement, or looking to feel stronger and more at ease in your body. About the lesson

My teaching focuses on helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their bodies. Drawing on my background in yoga and dance, I guide classes that build strength, mobility, and body awareness in a steady, supportive way. I teach with clear guidance and practical sequencing, offering options so each person can move at a pace that feels right for them. Classes are not about getting poses “perfect,” but about learning how your body moves and gradually building trust in it. Over time, this approach helps students feel stronger, more capable, and more at ease. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and include a gentle warm-up, progressive movement, and time to settle and reset at the end. I am a qualified 200hr yoga teacher with a background in dance, and I also have experience leading inclusive group workshops through my work with KNST Collective. My classes are well suited to beginners, those returning to movement, and anyone looking to build confidence, strength, and mobility in a calm, non-intimidating environment. Sessions are open to adults of all ages and can be adapted to individual needs and goals.
