About Anjali

I'm a Psychiatric Social Worker by profession and also a certified yoga trainer who graduated from the Sri Sri School of Yoga.

I've seen people transform through my counselling and psychotherapy sessions but to see them heal and transform emotionally and physically through my yoga sessions gives me a lot of satisfaction and happiness

About the lesson

The sessions include a sequence which would be followed in all the sessions, which would be taking the participants from the gross to the subtle states of mind through Pranayama (breathing techniques), Asana (physical exercises), guided Meditations and some wisdom to deal with everyday situations in life.

I am a qualified Yoga teacher, graduated from the Sri Sri school of Yoga, and have been certified by the Indian Yoga Association.

Anjali has an extremely sweet voice. Her command over Yoga is very good. She gives close attention to form and stability. Learning from her made me realize that Yoga is not just about Asanas as most people have that preconceived notion. Other aspects like Pranayama and Meditation are equally important for a holistic well-being.

What motivates you to teach & why?
The transformation I see in the lives of people once they experience the essence of Yoga.
When did you start developing an interest in your subject area?
About 8 years ago.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My inspiration has always been His Holiness Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji. He's my Guru, and the one who initiated me into the path of Yoga. His methodology which is so simple yet so powerful, gives the student an experience of mystic and beautiful aspect of Yoga.
What is the biggest obstacle you had to overcome in mastering your craft?
Yoga being a way of life is a self imposed discipline. Hence, requires commitment on the part of the practitioner. Developing that commitment was an obstacle initially.
In your opinion, what makes someone excel in your subject area?
On the path of Yoga, it is important to the right teacher, a Guru.
What would you say to a student who says, "This is too difficult, I give up!"?
I would say, don't give up too soon. Give it some time and see if your opinion changes.
How does someone become a Super Prof?
By being sincere and patient with the students.
