About SOLA

Hello! I’m Oluwakemi, a passionate, patient and highly experienced Science and Mathematics tutor with over 12 years of teaching and research experience.

I have a strong academic background, including a PhD in Medical Microbiology and a Master’s degree in Medical Bioscience. Over the years, I have taught and supported students with different abilities, learning styles and academic goals.

I specialise in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, with experience supporting students at GCSE, A-Level and US high-school levels, including Grade 11.

What makes my lessons different is my ability to make difficult topics feel simple. I break complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and use practical examples, questions and guided practice to help students understand rather than simply memorise.

I understand that some students may feel anxious about Science or Mathematics, especially when preparing for important examinations. My approach is patient, encouraging and personalised. I create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes without fear and gradually build their confidence.

Whether your child needs help catching up, preparing for exams, improving their grades, mastering challenging topics or simply becoming more confident, I will work with them at their own pace and provide the support they need.

My goal is not just to teach a subject, but to help students understand it, enjoy learning it and believe in their ability to succeed.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make Science and Mathematics simple, enjoyable and easy to understand. With over 12 years of teaching experience, I provide clear, patient and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s individual learning needs.

I teach Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, supporting students from primary level through GCSE and A-Level. Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, preparing for examinations, completing homework, or simply wants to improve their confidence and grades, I provide step-by-step explanations and plenty of opportunities to practise.

My teaching approach is friendly, encouraging and interactive. I identify areas where students need support, explain concepts in a simple way, work through examples together, and then give students the opportunity to apply what they have learnt independently.

I believe every student can succeed when they receive the right guidance, patience and encouragement. My goal is not only to help students achieve better results, but also to develop their confidence, understanding and love for learning.
