About Martín

Hey there! I'm Martín Rosa, 21, from Uruguay. I've studied english since I was a child, in many academies. That, added to true ease in learning and understanding languages, led me to keep on developing my interest in languages, explore and study them thoroughly. I'm also a fan of TV series, comics and manga magazines, and an inveterate "geek" of videogames, so I also continued my practices through them. Surrounded also by foreign colleagues, I never abandoned the language, which allowed me to develop good pronunciation and fluency in both speech and reading, and writing.
Already graduated in First Certificate, when I was 16, I had the opportunity to temporarily live in the USA, where I had the chance to use and exploit the language in real everyday cases, as well as learn the differences in expressions and pronunciation between American English and the British (which I initially studied). Later then, when I was 18, I started with projects and translation works for magazines, documents and series, and dubbing.
Nowadays, and already living in Spain, I also work as a freelance in testing applications and video games, both in gameplay and bug reporting, as well as in localization.

I would be lying if I said I could've had all the opportunities and experiences I got if it wasn't due to the language. Therefore, I want to transmit my knowledge to you too, so that you can also perform, develop and make the most of all the opportunities that exist. Learning a language is a process that anyone can achieve, so don't you worry! It is 100% assured that you have the capacity. However, it all starts with you, it all starts with your decision, with your "yes, I want to do it"
