About Lucy

Hi, I’m Lucy — a small business owner, creative maker, and lover of cozy, magical designs. I started my business with a simple idea: to bring a sense of whimsy, comfort, and thoughtful craftsmanship to everyday life. My shop features things like Book Lovers Ticket Bookmarks that celebrate reading and personal style, alongside seasonal tees and unique keepsakes that make moments feel special. I love to teach and also learn!

About the lesson

I use a step-by-step teaching method that breaks down complex tools and design concepts into manageable, easy-to-follow actions. Visual explanation is a key part of my teaching, especially when working with Cricut Design Space, sizing, alignment, and layout for bookmarks and small format projects.
Lessons are project-based, allowing students to learn by creating real designs during the session. I also emphasize troubleshooting skills—teaching students how to identify and fix common mistakes so they gain independence and confidence.
Encouragement, patience, and a judgment-free learning environment are central to my approach. Questions are always welcome. A typical lesson begins with a short check-in to understand the student’s goals—such as creating bookmarks, vinyl designs, or printable projects—and identifying any challenges they’re facing.
We then move into tool setup and design basics, covering Cricut Design Space features appropriate to the student’s level. The main portion of the lesson focuses on creating a design, with attention to sizing, spacing, fonts, images, and layout specifically for bookmarks.
Next, we walk through the production process, including material selection, cutting, assembling, and finishing techniques. Each lesson includes time for troubleshooting, tips, and best practices to improve quality and efficiency. We end with a recap and suggested next steps for continued practice.
