About Alexa

Hi guys! My name is Alexa, I am an English teacher in the United States. I grew up in "surf city" Huntington Beach, just south of Los Angeles. I studied mechanical engineering at California Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo, California and was a tutor throughout college. This year I left my life in California and moved to Rio to teach English and experience the life Carioca style!

About the lesson

I am very passionate about helping others learn English and sharing my culture! My methodology of English teaching involves total immersion in the language, meaning that from the first day of school I will speak almost exclusively in English with the students. While this may be difficult at first, I think it is the quickest way to achieve the desired result - speaking and understanding English!

Perfect! Alexa is a great teacher who is willing to explain over and over if needed. She is a very kind teacher, and explains things with joy. She teaches you in a very kind way making sure you understand what is being taught. With her help, I got a huge improvement on my toefl score.

Perfect! I will tell the truth. The truth is Alexa is the best english teacher I've ever had in my life. I got to this conclusion from my last class. I'll try my best in order to keep the pace with her skills and her class level. She is very kind and considerate. Perfect! I will tell the truth. The truth is Alexa is the best english teacher I've ever had in my life. I got to this conclusion from my last class. I'll try my best in order to keep the pace with her skills and her class level. She is very kind and considerate.
