About Michael
My area of specialization is English. I have over 30 years of teaching English at middle schools, high schools and universities. I am retired from teaching, but I miss it. So I want to teach more. I am a creative person because I write short stories, poetry and plays. My creativeness also includes being an artist. I've been painting since I was 8 years old. I am currently working on an abstract painting for my cousin.
Education background includes a B.S. in English, an M.A. in English and a PhD (ABD) in Literary Criticism.

The initial assessment involves the student as well as the teacher to figure out what would be useful for the student and where he/she wants to begin. Again, lessons are quite varied depending on the individual needs of the student.

The first meeting we have, is also an assessment of your skills and what areas you want to focus on and improve. Several things will happen during the first meeting. For example, I will ask you a few questions about you and your family. Once I ask you, I will expand the questions and get you to speak more. This is a good method for improving your English speaking ability as well as getting you to think on your feet. Once you get accustomed to this method, you can try it with your friends or family members. Even though the first meeting is free, there will be a lot of things we need to cover.
