About Christina

I'm a professional graphic designer, illustrator, and educator with over 18 years of experience in the creative industry.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and have extensive experience teaching art and design to students of all ages.

Teaching has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I've worked with elementary, middle, and high school students in both public and private school settings, as well as college students and adults.

My teaching experience includes:

Elementary School Art Education: Several years of hands-on art instruction, introducing young artists to creative techniques, art history, and engaging projects.

Middle & High School Workshops: Over six years of experience as a guest artist and presenter in private school settings, encouraging creative thinking, design exploration, and visual communication.

College-Level Instruction: Experience as an adjunct professor of graphic design, helping students develop technical skills and a deeper understanding of the creative process.

Community Art Education: Leading creative workshops and educational programs for both children and adults.

Working with different age groups has taught me that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to art education. Some students thrive with structured instruction, while others need room to experiment and discover their own creative voice.

I tailor my approach to each individual, creating a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying something new.

Whether you're a parent looking for an engaging creative activity for your child, a teenager interested in illustration, or an adult who has always wanted to learn to draw, I'd love to help you get started.

About the lesson

Whether you're picking up a marker for the first time or looking to take your illustration skills to the next level, I'm here to help you explore your creativity and develop your own artistic style!

I specialize in paint pens and alcohol-based markers, two versatile mediums perfect for creating colorful, expressive illustrations.

My lessons are personalized to each student's age, experience, interests, and creative goals.

Together, we can explore:

Alcohol Marker Techniques: Blending, shading, layering, gradients, and color combinations.

Paint Pen Illustration: Bold designs, creative lettering, patterns, and colorful artwork.

Drawing Fundamentals: Composition, proportion, perspective, and observational drawing.

Color Theory: Understanding how colors work together to create eye-catching illustrations.

Creative Exploration: Developing your own artistic style through fun, hands-on projects.

Your First Lesson Is Free!

During our complimentary first lesson, we'll get to know each other, explore your interests, assess your current skill level, and discuss what you'd like to accomplish.

Together, we'll determine a realistic timeline for reaching your goals, whether that's a four-week introduction to drawing, an eight-week exploration of illustration techniques, or a longer-term creative journey.

I'll then develop a personalized, week-by-week curriculum tailored to your interests, abilities, and learning goals.

You'll receive your customized curriculum at the end of our first lesson, so you'll know exactly what we'll be working toward, what skills you'll develop, and what to expect from each session.

No two students are alike, and I believe their art education shouldn't be either!
