About Cassie

I am a recent LAMDA MFA graduate originating from Nixa, Missouri, USA. I moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to follow my dreams of becoming an actor while pursuing my undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature (my other, I would argue parallel, passion). I decided to apply to drama school upon graduation for the opportunity to be a part of a family of performers as excited about this craft as I am. I have been acting professionally since I was 11, in a variety of film and theatre projects. I have trained with a variety of teachers and in a diverse array of techniques to develop a technique that is my own. Something I feel very passionate about is that it is truly imperative that a performer collect for themselves tools and perspectives that are effective for them. As an actor you are your instrument, but unlike with more standardized musical instruments - our hearts and souls and bodies come in a vast array of shapes, sizes, and propensities. You have to learn to play your specific instrument. Also every part or project will not require the same skill set! We have to learn to adjust to what each project needs from us today. I love what I do and nothing excites me more than watching performances come to life. I have cultivated a deep love for acting and am thrilled at the opportunity to share this craft with others.

About the lesson

Personalised approach to the needs of the student utilising techniques including: interactive games, text analysis, classical text technique, viewpoints, Meisner, film acting, basic acting principles, objectives, devising, and actioning. In addition to graduating from LAMDA with my MFA in Professional Acting, I have studied with Gregory Berger, and at NYU Tisch's Summer High School Screen Acting course. I have experience working professionally in theatre and film, as well as knowledge of the drama school admissions system. I look forward to working with students of all levels and ages.
