About Lauren
I'm about to enter my fourth-year in journalism school at Cal State Long Beach and have aced my English classes in community college and high school. I've had newsroom experience since August 2019, and am currently a staff writer for the Daily Forty-Niner student-run publication. I've edited numerous amounts of articles as an Editor in Chief for the Cypress Chronicle from January 2020-May 2020, and am confident in my grammar, editing, listening and writing skills. I also help edit my friend's essays and give feedback on my spare time.

My teaching method as a tutor is for any and all-ages, if a student is willing to learn, then I'm willing to teach. As a former Editor in Chief, I made sure to be team-oriented and approachable to my staff writers, reporters and photographers. I always want to make our learning space a healthy, open-minded environment. I'm patient, understanding and want to make sure students I teach have a positive experience.

The first lesson with me would be an hour long since I believe it's fair to test my services first, and I'd love to get to know interested students! Afterwards, if you wish to continue my services, I will be charging $20/hr. I look forward to meeting you!
