About Francesca

Hi guys, my name is Francesca and I’m teaching Italian here on Superprof and I’m a very passionate teacher.

I’m 26 years old, I was born and raised in Matera one of the most historic cities in the world,
Then – once I turned 18 – I moved to Bologna to start my university journey.
I currently live in Bologna where I study and work.

I’m a fully qualified school teacher here in Italy and graduated with both a bachelor and masters degree in Arts from the University of Bologna, one of the oldest and most respected Universities in not only Italy but the world.

My personal passions are history, philosophy, art, literature, science and politics.
But… I’m Italian, so of course I love food and cuisine too!

About the lesson

I love to teach people as it allows me to pass my expertise, experience and knowledge on to others.

I have taken students from talking zero all the way to fluent and it’s something I am very proud of. For example, I taught a student from Australia that spoke almost nothing and now he speaks Italian fluently with native speakers.

I teach students at any level of Italian, so whether you are a beginner or more advanced we will create a personalised learning plan together that suits you, with advice and guidance from my experience teaching others.

I understand for beginners and sometimes for advanced speakers it can be intimidating, scary and sometimes embarrassing to speak a foreign language. It’s very normal and I understand this from my own journey learning English.

No stress if you feel nervous, we will create a relaxed environment and learn Italian step by step whilst of course enjoying the learning experience.

I have pre planned material and lessons ready to go from listening to audio to improve comprehension, reading articles together to improve pronunciation, doing quizzes to test learnt knowledge, revising written texts and grammar to improve structure, speaking about new and different topics to improve your fluency and writing small texts or stories together to learn new vocabulary.

The purpose of my lessons is to make the learning process always
dynamic and never static. The first lesson will help me to understand your level and learning goals so I can create
a specific program tailor made for you.
