About Sarah
I am a student at the University of St Andrews studying International Relations and Spanish. During my year abroad in Spain I worked as an English language assistant in a primary school. Througout the year, I taught English to children between the ages of 5-12. Additionally I gave 1-1 lessons to both adults and children. I am fluent in English, and have CEFR level B2 in Spanish.

My first step in my lessons is to learn about the student, what way of learning works for them and how they want to go forward with the classes. With younger students, I like to make the lessons fun and exciting by playing games in the target language. In my opinion, immersing yourself in the lanugage is the best way to learn, and for that reason I like to focus on speaking. It does not matter if we are just chatting about what our favourite things are, or preparing for a more formal discussion, every little helps. My primary aim to make people feel comfortable and confident conversing in the target language!
