About Kate
I am British and have spent 8 years of my adult life living in the UK. I graduated from the University of Kent and Durham University in biological anthropology (BSc and MSc). I then trained as a Physician Associate (PGDip + national certification) at Birmingham University and before working at Torbay Hospital for 2 years.
In the past I have taught English for students sitting their Brevet, as well as for students who had signed up for the entrance exams to the local international school. I also did a 'refresher course' for a student on her gap year.

I offer English lessons for high school students or adults who already have some knowledge of English. The lessons can focus on getting you back up to speed, improving your written and/or spoken English, or preparing you for a specific exam/interview/presentation.
Now that I have spent a few years training and working in an English-speaking environment, I prefer lessons that focus on conversational English or improving vocabulary for specific professional settings. However, I would be more than happy to support pupils with homework and to offer lessons to pupils/students preparing for exams or who would like to prepare for studying abroad in an English-speaking setting.
In light of my postgraduate training, I am in a particularly good position to teach those of you who would like to improve your knowledge of medical or scientific English. I am enthusiastic and I will happily tailor lessons to the specific notions or vocabulary you wish to acquire or improve.
