About Jonathan
I am a qualified teacher, with over 30 years teaching experience and have taught in Uganda, England and Ireland. I have a TEFL certificate to teach English as a second language and have taught a wide range of adults and children. I currently live with my wife and cat in North Yorkshire. As well as being Airbnb Superhosts we also offer English Immersion courses where students stay in our home and learn English while exploring the local culture, history and nature and enjoying home-cooked meals.

My teaching method is to build confidence and communication skills by making learning interesting and enjoyable in a relaxed atmosphere. Learning is student-centred, focusing on individual learning needs and abilities. Specific goals and targets are worked out with each individual language learner, then material is used which will be relevant to the individual's interests or work situation.
