About Jane

As a HIGHLY QUALIFIED & PASSIONATE Tutor, my experience includes 33 years of classroom teaching, ESL expertise & training- I am CLAD CERTIFIED. Having my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, I am an EXPERT in Curriculum Design & Instructional Best Practices. In addition, I have designed and implemented many programs for both Intervention & Enrichment. I am here to help you or your child, meet learning GOALS. I am also adept at helping HS Seniors create powerful University Admissions ESSAYS.

About the lesson

As a K-6th Grade ESL/English Language Arts Tutor, my philosophy is child centered. I will assess the child to get a baseline benchmark. I then will differentiate the curriculum based on the student's needs. This allows for students to have any gaps filled in, while following the curriculum. I ask lots of questions in order to discover the correct learning style of each student, which will maximize student growth. I also strive to discover both strengths and weaknesses, so we can instill self-confidence and high expectations for learning. I have created, "RECIPES for SUCCESS," in order to help kids gain the FLUENCY & COMPREHENSION needed to become LIFELONG LEARNERS.
