About Alara
As a certified teacher with 14+ years of teaching and tutoring experience in math, I've been on a mission to make numbers more accessible, practical, and fun! My teaching journey has taken me through both traditional and project-based schools, giving me a well-rounded approach to education. I understand the importance of developing a positive math mindset, especially for the student who does not yet identify as "a math person." I believe that the key to math success is finding the balance between mastering the basics, applying math in real-world settings, and developing the right attitude around math. I'm all about patience and empowerment. And I truly believe that every student can reach their goals!

Alara is an amazing and patient teacher! She is thorough in her lessons and strives to ensure that students understand and grasp the material with real life examples in ways that connect to your daily life. She is one of the most organized and timely instructors I've ever met, which is a respectful quality I seek in instructors. I can't recommend her enough!
Alara is great at helping break down complicated math problems into digestable concepts. She is still my go to person for any math questions I have in my life!
