I am a certified teacher in the states of Massachusetts, Oregon, Arizona, and Hawaii and hold my Qualified Teaching Status in the UK. I am endorsed to teach math in all those locations as well and have taught (and still teach) secondary math in the classroom. I am very familiar with the math curriculum in the US and the UK and I tutor math for grades 9-12 including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Precalculus.
I provide all lessons and curriculum for Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Precalculus, & Trigonometry mirroring a classroom environment. I can provide homework if requested.
I know everyone learns a bit differently and love creating new ways to teach that fit each students learning style and needs. I regularly have students come to me in class and acknowledge that the way I teach math allows them to understand and approach it in a way they have not experienced before. I try to take a subject that is often intimidating and has negative feelings associated with it and turn that into a topic that is approachable.
I love helping students build the skills, confidence, and knowledge they need to not only pass their classes but excel!!
