About Brenden
Hey! I'm Brenden, a year 10 student at Melbourne High School.
I've always had a strong interest in mathematics, and it's easily one of my favourite subjects at school. I genuinely enjoy solving problems and figuring out different ways to approach a question, and I'd love to share that interest with other students.
Qualifications:
- Student in the Selective Entry Enhancement at Koonung (concealed information) program at my previous school
- Melbourne High School student (first round entry)
- Numerous math competition awards
Experience:

- Has tutored younger sister for 2+ years

Rather than simply teaching formulas and methods to memorize, I focus on helping students understand why mathematical concepts work and the math behind it. I use clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of practice questions to build confidence and problem-solving skills.
Whether you need help keeping up with class, preparing for an upcoming test, strengthening difficult topics or looking for more challenging questions, I am happy to tailor lessons to your goals.
Lessons can be arranged to suit your needs and are available online or in person across Melbourne.
As a current student at Melbourne High School, I understand the Australian school system and many of the challenges students face when learning math. Hence, I am able to give personal tips that have aided me through my learning.
My lessons are aimed at primary school and Year 7–9 students looking for support or extension in:
• Learning mathematics
• Homework support
• Test and exam preparation
• Building confidence and strengthening fundamental skills
• Extension and more challenging mathematical problems
Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson feeling like they understand something that they didn't understand before. I believe that this is what truly makes math enjoyable.
