As a senior at The Buckley School graduating in May, I understand firsthand the challenges students face in advanced and AP-level courses. My goal as a tutor is to make complex material feel manageable, clear, and even enjoyable. Because I am still immersed in rigorous academics myself, my explanations are relatable, up-to-date, and tailored to how students are currently being taught in high school classrooms.

My teaching method is structured but flexible. I begin by identifying exactly where a student feels stuck — whether it’s foundational gaps, test anxiety, time management, or specific advanced concepts. I break down difficult material into clear, step-by-step explanations, then reinforce understanding through guided practice. I focus heavily on building confidence, because I believe students perform best when they truly understand the “why” behind what they are learning.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previous material to ensure retention. We then move into the current topic, where I explain concepts in simple terms, model example problems, and work through practice questions together. I gradually shift responsibility to the student so they can apply the material independently.
