About Lauren

I currently work at a mainstream secondary school as an art and graphic design GCSE and A level teacher. My students learn on the EDUQAS exam board, but I have experience of working with AQA and am flexible when it comes to working with students who have specific standards to meet. My previous experience is varied. I ran my own business, working with adults in care and residential homes, with students in school referral centres, within primary school settings with deaf students and with children in a flexible 'play and learn' environment. I’ve also designed art sessions to deliver to adults with degenerative diseases, alongside scientists contributing to PHD research projects.

About the lesson

I offer a wide range of tutoring options, from more traditional watercolour techniques, to more context based, contemporary art responses. I also teach graphic design at GCSE and A level. I’d love to work with you if you’re building a portfolio for a new job, a place at university or at college; but equally I can accommodate hobby artists or adults and young people hoping to learn a new skill for enjoyment. I offer bespoke, one-off or long-term session schedules and love meeting and teaching new people, so get in touch and we can chat about the options together.

Perfect! Lauren is a highly organised and effective art tutor. I am so impressed with her dedication, professionalism, and preparation for lessons to ensure my daughter Holly benefits fully from each session. Lauren offers clear guidance, supports creative thinking, and provides actionable steps to enhance her skills. Her calm and patient approach creates a positive learning environment. Already I can see an increase in confidence in my daughter's approach towards her GCSE coursework. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone in search of a dedicated and impactful art tutor.

Lauren's response
Emma and her daughter were very communicative and cooperative.

In the coming weeks I expect the professional relationship to be a very positive one - both Emma and her daughter seem proactive, react positively to constructive feedback and appear very organised.
