Hello! I'm Arwen and I am a Stage and Film Actor, as well as a published Poet and Playwright based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

About Arwen
As an Actor, I have starred in numerous stage and film productions across the North of England.
As a Writer, I have had a play published and performed, alongside various pieces of my poetry.
I helped to establish and currently help to run a theatre company based in Wakefield where I facilitate its marketing and social media - I am also involved in the productions and events themselves whether by acting, producing, or directing.
Alongside my work as an actor and a writer, I also have experience in being a dramaturg and a theatre director by helping to guide individuals and help them create their best possible work.
I have received qualifications in Acting, Shakespeare, Text-work, and Public Speaking.
I grew up in youth theatre, therefore I have fond memories and understanding of what it is like to enter and pursue the creative world at a young age.
I am passionate in helping you grow your skills, develop as an individual, and create work (whether writing or a monologue) that you can be incredibly proud of.

I take a very student-centred approach to my tutoring, tailoring lessons to the needs and skills of an individual and how best they personally learn .
I want to help you develop your own unique toolkit that you can apply to exams, auditions, on the stage, or behind the camera.
However, I don't just focus on techniques, I will help to build your confidence, resilience, and to trust your instincts in regards to every aspect of the creative world.
My disciplines lie in Classical (Shakespeare and Greek) and Contemporary Works, Voice Technique, Public Speaking, and Text - Analysis.
My lessons are for those of GCSE and A Level age, however, I am also available to teach those of any age and skill set - whether they wish to try something new or further their craft.
I have tutored and mentored ages from 10 to 18 years old in acting and writing - helping them create and further develop the tools for the craft that they are so passionate about.
