About Bethany
I have a desire to teach language and culture. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at Minnesota State University Mankato. During this time I studied abroad twice. The first time I spent three months in Madrid, Spain, and the second time I spent four months in Santiago, Chile. Later, after graduating I moved back to Spain and was an English Language Assistant for two years in Seville. During this time I also attended a Spanish language academy, "Sevillahabla", where I enhanced my Spanish language skills. Upon returning to the United States I found a job teaching at a bilingual school in English and Spanish where I taught all subjects for a year to 2nd graders. The next year I completed a Master's of Spanish at the University of Milwaukee. During this time I was a TA for Spanish 103 and 104 for college students. Now I am ready to teach English and/or Spanish to you!

My teaching lessons include the "I do", "We do", and "You do" approaches. This allows me to first give a correct example of the lesson then an opportunity for us to learn it together and finally for the student to produce the skill on their own. These lessons typically include a PowerPoint to help guide the student with video clips included. My lessons are fun because they include different cultural aspects that help the learner better understand the language. These lessons are for anyone who has a desire to learn a language!
