About Tara

I have been an educator for over 10 years!
Learning takes an open mind and positive affirmations! We will do positive affirmations before we start! I want to make sure I understand how you learn, what you've learned and where I can fill in the gaps. Majority of my students wish that each school year never ends because they love coming to school and learning. Emotional Intelligence is attached to this learning, being able to express your frustrations without losing your "marbles" is extremely important. Let's learn together how to hold all your marbles and still get your thought across. (This helps with behaviors- most children have a hard time expressing themselves for many reasons)

I want your child to feel confident and excited to complete their assignments with ease. That is my goal! I want students to understand that without making mistakes we never learn! I have a plethora of patience for teaching all children!

About the lesson

I request that students bring a notebook and pencil with them, I will provide all other materials. I like to set the stage for what we will be accomplishing that day, week, etc. I build my own lessons for students from kindergarten to 6th grade. I have a specialty in assisting students who are considered "below grade level" and focus on those skills with tools attached for the student to apply to their assignments while at school.

Again, I make the lessons fun and exciting! I have many many many references from prior students about how I roll. :)
