I ask my students to have a notebook just for our lessons, to not mix it with any other material and ask them to create a "Formula Sheet" where we will add all formulas, tricks, short cuts that will be very helpful to organize their studies. If they want to talk to me to share their expectations before the first lesson, I will be glad to talk. :)
