About Isabel
One of the memories that I cherish the most from my adolescence was some exchanges to Austria and Germany since, thanks to them, I learned how important and precious the work of communication was, creating bridges between people to help them understand each other. That was the main reason why I decided to study Translation and Interpreting: because I like to take care of the language, understand it and, above all, share it with others.
Teaching came to me in a different way. Although it had always caught my attention, it was never one of my priorities. However, when I gave private lessons for the first time, the satisfaction that I felt seeing the student in question advance and finally pass, showed me how much I also enjoy teaching.
Isn't teaching also build bridges and help build them?

I am inclined towards a methodology that takes advantage of the students' tastes and hobbies. Grammar is important, but sometimes it can get tiresome if it's not used in a way that motivates students, so I always prefer to give it a twist so that it's basically not the same old thing. Wouldn't it be better to consolidate knowledge, and, for example, finish learning to use expressions of opinion in a more practical and entertaining way? Wouldn't it be better to take advantage of the qualities of a Cluedo, a game in which you express your opinion when accusing a suspect?
I also like to enhance the different skills (writing, reading, speaking and listening) through activities that combine them. I am also in favor of the student evaluating their own learning and my work as a teacher, since this feedback helps us to improve and solve possible problems that may arise during the process. In general, to summarize and not get too long, I like to stay away from the typical high school or college classes because I consider it more beneficial and useful in the long term, but without forgetting the bases that are needed to use a more "free" methodology.
