About Na-keisha

I am an actor and writer, originally from Leicester. However, I recently relocated to London to further my training at drama school. I first discovered my passion for performing when I was fourteen and I have been acting ever since. I studied Musical Theatre in college and then decided to focus on Acting at University. I have been in several Theatre productions over the past few years my most recent being a rendition of ‘Three Birds’ at the Tower Theatre. I am currently represented by Nina Malone at IDSA talent.

About the lesson

In my acting sessions we will cover the essentials needed to create full fledged and realistic characters, that will make you to stand out in any audition.

I will also incorporate vocal and physical exercises that you can take away and implement on a daily basis to strengthen your vocal and physical presence for both stage and screen.

I will teach you several techniques needed for script analysis and help apply these to any scripts you want to work on during the session.

Finally, I will provide coaching notes for any upcoming auditions and provide you with tips and the confidence to carry you through your drama school auditions

In my improvisation sessions I will teach you the skills and techniques required to create a strong, substantial and believable improvisation pieces. We will then put these into action in the session by creating short improvisation pieces.

In my playwriting lessons we will discuss any ideas you have and I will help you to establish your target audience. We will also cover important techniques such as writing style, structure and how to create dimensional characters that go on a journey throughout the play. I will also provide you with tips on how to organise your time efficiently as a writer/creative.

My sessions will range from 1 to 2 hours depending on how quickly you wish to learn. My sessions are for any age and ability whether you are just starting out or are looking to brush up on existing skills

As mentioned previously in my advert I have an acting degree as well as industry experience and drama school training. During this time I picked up a lot of knowledge and different techniques from working with various directors, tutors and industry professionals.

I am very excited to work with other actors and creatives and to help guide them on their journeys
