About Elena

I am a 22-year-old girl who is passionate about English and, above all, teaching it. I am a nice, kind and above all responsible person. I love my job and spend many hours on it. I currently work with children giving them English classes and I would love to reach more people. I really like doing dynamic and entertaining activities. I spend my spare time doing activities in nature, such as climbing, hiking, surfing... I also love music, I've been playing the transverse flute since I was 7 years old and this year I started learning to play the saxophone.

English

My main objective when giving English classes is not for people to learn everything they understand in the language by heart, but rather for them to know how to use what we are learning little by little in different scenarios. My ultimate goal is to be able to give the class entirely in English. Depending on the level, this will take more or less time. And above all... have fun!!

Depending on the person, their needs and requirements, I am adapting the classes. In general, I usually carry out activities to talk, whether it is a conversation about a specific topic; a monologue; I usually include in my planning videos that interest the student to later talk about it; I recommend books and movies to watch in English and also in some class we will read some text that is of interest. Making written texts is also important, so depending on what each student asks me, I insist more or less on doing them.

Personally, I consider that I am a person who adapts well to the needs of other people, and I pay a lot of attention to the effect that the activities I prepare have on the students. There are times when they have very positive effects and I repeat the activity, but there are times with other students with whom the effect is negative and I look for another activity that may be more to their liking.
I am very understanding and I understand that it is a new and complex language, and this leads me to patience, I have a lot of patience. I adapt to the time and the needs of the student, not the other way around.
I usually do more dynamic activities for young children since their way of learning is different.

My classes are aimed at all kinds of people: babies, children, adults, seniors... depending on the age group I do some activities or others. In addition, I add that I deal with people of different abilities and needs.
Regarding the level and method of teaching, I studied since I was little in a bilingual school and lived for 3 years in England, for this reason I have a different way of teaching things. I have a high level of English, so I have the ability to teach all levels.
