About Jan
I have been involved in music since I was a child and it fulfills me very much. Whether it is playing the bassoon, recorder and singing, or studying music theory. I am a graduate of the Prague Conservatory and will continue to study bassoon at HAMU. I have experience teaching recorder, where I also partly tought the basics of music theory. I currently perform with the Prague Philharmonia as an academic and in the past I also worked in the Hradec Králové Philharmonic.

I will adapt each lesson to your experience, pace and goals. Whether you are starting out with the recorder or bassoon or want to move forward in your playing, together we will find a way to work on your development. In the lessons, we focus not only on playing itself, but also on correct breathing, tone creation, playing technique, rhythm, intonation and musical expression. I explain everything clearly and practically so that the new skills make sense to you and you can use them when playing. The lessons are suitable for beginners and advanced, for children and adults. I will also help with preparing for exams at the primary school, conservatory or with preparing a repertoire. My goal is for you to enjoy playing, gain confidence in playing and gradually develop your own musical expression
