About Jade
For most of my primary education, I recall not being too enthusiastic about my classes. I felt like the traditional learning environment and the curricula were not conducive to academic success. Once I had more say in the classes that I could take (high-school), my interest in science began to take hold. From that point on, I had more clarity about the behaviors I needed to maintain in order to do well in other subjects/classes. I think the key to personal success in learning, is finding the thing that you can be motivated by as it will definitely give you the willpower you need to overcome challenges. My goal as a tutor is to assist in this process.

As I have advanced in my own academic career, I have come to appreciate the diversity of teaching styles and how they can facilitate a deeper appreciation for learning and bring out the type of curiosity that can improve self-esteem and confidence --the right combination of outcomes to tackle new learning challenges.
A priority for me is to listen and identify the needs and areas of opportunity for improvement so I am patient and understanding as I myself have had to implement strategies to overcome some of the difficulties that I face as a neurodivergent individual.
My services would best suit those who are (1) struggling with knowing how to study effectively, or (2) middle school, high-school, and undergraduate level and needing help with the areas listed in my bio
