About Heather
I worked first as a tutor at a small tutoring center while earning my bachelor's degree and raising my daughter. Once I earned my bachelor's degree, I was a long-term substitute teacher for a decade. I decided to pursue my single subject credential in math because I love seeing that "Aha!" moment when a student finally understands a concept they have been consistently struggling with.

I love working with students one on one to see what learning styles work best for them- whether it be flash cards, videos, working problems out step by step, or interactive games that don't feel like learning! A typical lesson will be centered around the student's specific needs.
