My name is Dr. Eniola Kazeem, and I am a dedicated mathematics educator with a Ph.D. in Mathematics and over twelve years of experience teaching and mentoring students at both high school and university levels. My approach is learner-centered and concept-driven. I begin by diagnosing the learner’s current understanding and misconceptions using questions or assigning tasks. Once I understand where a student is, I design lessons that:
Break complex ideas into digestible steps
Use real-life analogies, especially for abstract topics like limits, group theory, or integration
Integrate visuals and graphs (especially in calculus and functions)
Employ active recall and spaced repetition for key formulas and theorems
I make extensive use of:
Problem-solving challenges to promote critical thinking
“Think aloud” strategies to model how a mathematician approaches unfamiliar problems
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson (usually 60–90 minutes) follows this structure:
Warm-Up (5 mins)
Brief review or ask a question to check prior knowledge.
Concept Focus (15–20 mins)
Explain a new concept using a simple example and/or visual/graphical tools.
Guided Practice (20–30 mins)
Work through progressively challenging problems together.
Independent Practice (15 mins)
Learner attempts new questions with scaffolding as needed.
Review and Wrap-Up (10 mins)
Recap key takeaways, clarify doubts, and provide homework/revision tips.
