About Philip
I am a German language + business graduate (BA Hons) and teach students (GCSE / A-level) as well as business people wanting to learn or improve their German language skills. I learnt German from beginner to fluent speaker within six months and started teaching German (at local colleges and businesses) in my first year as an undergraduate student. I then completed my formal teaching training at the Inlingua language school, Bielefeld, Germany.

I have 4 building blocks to mastering German: (1) learn the 'key' vocab (2) master the pronunciation (so you sound like a German speaker) (3) understand the key grammar elements (actually not that difficult if explained well in a staged approach - that makes sense to English speakers) (4) speak and build confidence. If you can read, comprehend spoken German and have the active vocab to speak, you can succeed with any German qualification - and all my students do.
