The semester is structured to balance instruction, hands-on practice, and mentorship. If we schedule one lesson per week, the 3.5-month semester includes 14 lessons: the first four weeks focus on foundational techniques and Project 1, weeks 5–8 cover Project 2 with skill development and experimentation, weeks 9–12 focus on Project 3, emphasizing advanced concepts, storytelling, and personal expression, and the final two weeks are dedicated to a Final Showcase, including critique, display, and mentorship wrap-up. Students will also spend additional time outside class (~2–5 hours per project) completing their work. For a more intensive schedule with two lessons per week, each project receives roughly eight lessons, and the final showcase gets 2–4 lessons, bringing the semester total to 28–30 lessons, allowing for more hands-on guidance and support throughout the program.
