I am a graduate from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts degree and current Editorial Assistant at the University of Nebraska Press. I majored in English, became a certified Clifton Strengths Coach and taught introductory courses at UNL's College of Business. My goal is to be an approachable and reliable resource for high school and college students looking to improve reading and writing assignments. I thoroughly read and help edit paper assignments of all kinds and guide students through understanding literature material. I will strengthen reading and written assignments by proofreading, offering editorial advice and ensuring facts and arguments are sound.
I have a widespread knowledge of classic and contemporary English literature that often appears in course materials. I will strengthen students' understanding of reading material by reviewing main ideas and arguments of the text and how they apply to the course's goals.
I approach writing and reading assignments by breaking down the main objectives and any priorities to be addressed in order to submit a successful assignment. I offer a (virtual) hands-on experience by going through each instruction with the student, identifying not only the "what" but also the "why" of the course material and its expectations, and ensuring the student submits a sound assignment all around.
