About Cole

I am an academic achiever currently in Grade 10 at a premier School of Specialisation in Mathematics, Science, and ICT. Excellence in academics is my passion, and I am consistently ranked in my school's overall Top 10.
My strongest academic areas include Mathematics, Physics, English, and Economics—subjects where I regularly earn Top Achiever awards. Beyond the classroom, I have represented my school in numerous high-level academic competitions, which has taught me how to think critically and solve complex problems under pressure.
Because I attend a specialised STEM high school, I am exposed to advanced learning techniques and digital tools daily. I love sharing this knowledge with younger students. I know exactly what it takes to excel in the current CAPS syllabus, and I want to help my students build the same academic confidence, study habits, and passion for learning that helped me reach the top of my grade.

About the lesson

As a Grade 10 student who recently excelled in the senior phase, I know firsthand how overwhelming subjects like Maths and NS can feel. My lessons are designed to be interactive, encouraging, and completely stress-free.

1. How a Typical Lesson Works:

The Warm-Up (5 mins): We start by reviewing what the student did in school that day or looking at their upcoming homework assignments.

Concept Breakdown (25 mins):
I explain the difficult topics (like algebraic equations, science concepts, etc.) using simple, relatable analogies and digital whiteboards.

Practice & Mastery (20 mins):
We solve practice problems together step-by-step until the student feels confident doing them independently.

Wrap-Up (10 mins):
We review the key takeaways and set a small, manageable goal for their next school day.

2. My Teaching Style:

Patient and Relatable:
Because I am closer to their age, I don't lecture. I talk with the student, not at them.

Visual and Practical:
I use clear examples, colour-coded notes, and step-by-step methods to make tricky subjects easy to understand.

Exam-Focused:
I teach students the specific exam tips, layout tricks, and time-management skills that helped me maintain top grades in Grade 8 and 9.
