About Savelia
While I am enthusiastic and encouraging, I am also quite strict (especially about consistency).
I lived in Germany for 5 years and studied special needs education for 5 semesters at the University of Education in Heidelberg. I have been teaching German at the Goethe Institute in Windhoek for the past 3.5 years. Additionally, both my parents were teachers so the art of teaching was instilled in me from early on.
Language teaching and learning can be very challenging, that’s why passing your required level is so satisfying.
I look forward to getting you to your goal and over that finish line!

I teach from level A1 to level B1 German as a foreign language (DaF).
I enjoy bridging the gaps between prior knowledge of the language or English and the language level goal. Learning a language is not just about the grammar, but also about cultural norms, humour, and rules.
Frequent written tests or reiteration help to cement knowledge learned.
I teach mainly high school students or prepare adults for their Goethe exams.
