About Melissa
I am currently doing my MA in Creative Writing and have a BA in Philosophy and English Studies. Languages have always fascinated me, and I love to write, read, or immerse myself in other forms of story-telling. When I'm not writing or reading I like to cook, go on walks, listen to music, or meet friends for coffee. I am an easy-going person and like a good laugh. I love animals and helping other people. Before moving to England I lived for a while in South Korea, working as an au pair for an American family, travelled to Japan, studied a semester in Ireland, and helped out in a school in Italy.

Lessons can be 45minutes to 90minutes long. Every lesson includes a reading part as well as oral practice. Grammar will be taught depending on the level of the student. My lessons are for every age; children to adults, whoever is interested in learning German. I have assisted teachers before in Italy, and have helped foreign friends to learn the language. As I am also learning languages I know that immersion is key. That's why I provide students with things like movies, songs, shows, memes, whatever is easy to understand and enjoyable at the same time.
