About Ioulia

Hi! I’m Ioulia, a multilingual tutor and currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Birmingham. I speak English, Bulgarian, Greek, and have a strong command of German (I have Goethe certification and I wanted to study in Germany), which I now teach to beginners and GCSE-level students. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I help students build confidence, master key grammar, and develop practical language skills that go beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

- Exam-Focused Support: Vocabulary, writing tasks, listening, and speaking skills tailored to GCSE exam boards (AQA, Edexcel). - Beginner-Friendly Approach: I know how to teach German in a way that’s simple, structured, and fun. - Interactive Lessons: I use real-life scenarios, quizzes, games, and repetition for long-term retention. - Personalised Learning: Whether you're struggling with verb endings or need help revising for mocks, lessons are built around your pace and needs. - Multilingual Advantage: I can explain difficult concepts in English, Greek, or Bulgarian for better understanding.

My son has never really liked Maths but after having lessons with Ioulia he always talks very passionately. He is year ten and his predicted was not good but now he is predicted a 6. I am really grateful for both of their hardwork!

Ioulia is an amazing tutor and helped my daughter achieve grade 8 on her Maths GCSE (she started predicted 4). She will now prepare her for her A-levels and I am sure my daughter is in good hands.

She is not only trustworthy, but an exceptional tutor. Every lesson I had with her passed by effortlessly. She makes every lesson interesting in a way that is hard to describe. However I would recommend her to every student I know.

She listens to her students, examines their needs, and also forms a link between both the parents and the child. She’s awesome.
