About Eric
Hi, I’m Eric. I’m fluent in German and scored 100% in Leaving Cert German. Having gone through the exam myself, I know exactly what examiners are looking for — and how to make German both easier and more enjoyable to learn. I want to use my skills to help students maximize their marks in German, whether that’s through building oral confidence, improving writing, or expanding useful vocabulary. My lessons are focused on practical speaking, targeted vocab, and exam-style tasks that prepare students to perform at their best. I believe every student has the potential to do really well in German — my goal is to give them the tools, confidence, and strategies to make that happen.

My lessons are student-focused and practical. I put a big emphasis on speaking German confidently while building up useful and exam-relevant vocabulary. Each session includes:
Speaking practice & role-plays (to boost oral exam confidence)
Targeted vocab building (phrases that actually score marks)
Short comprehensions & essays (to strengthen written and reading skills)
Clear feedback & tips for steady improvement
The goal is to make students comfortable using German in real situations while also preparing them to score highly in exams. Lessons are flexible — I adapt each class to the student’s level, whether they need a boost in oral confidence, written accuracy, or exam technique.
