About Sayler
I have always loved math, so it has always been something I have enjoyed putting time into. That being said, I was not the naturally brilliant student that could pick things up effortlessly. There were topics that I had to put some work into to fully grasp. This makes me an even because I have had to teach myself different ways to do things. I am patient and very willing to learn how a student learns to best assist them in whatever subject they are struggling in.

I am a engineering graduate of the University of Alabama currently living in Nashville, TN. I have 8 years of tutoring under my belt. While in college, I tutored at-risk students in local elementary and middle schools in both math and English. I was also a paid tutor for college athletes at the University of Alabama.
I have experience tutoring students with delayed processing disorders, ADHD and dyslexia. I love finding ways to take material and finding new ways to teach it for students who may not understand it when it's taught conventionally. The main reason I love to tutor is because I've seen the effect that feeling "dumb" can have one kids growing up. So being able to break down that thought and getting a student to feel more confident in themselves and their abilities, not only helps their grades but helps them in life.

Sayler has been helping me with my rigorous honors calculus class. She is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable, patient, and has a flexible schedule. Sayler approaches teaching from a different angle than what I've been taught in school, which has helped me comprehend the material. She helps me prepare for tests and quizzes diligently and takes her time to cover material without rushing.
