About Harriet
I'm Harriet, an Edinburgh based artist specialising in highly realistic coloured pencil, charcoal and graphite portraits. Having grown up in the English countryside, my love for animals is the inspiration of my work, my life-long relationship with both dogs and horses has given me an acute understanding of their anatomy, muscle structure and movement which is essential. I believe the key to a truly special portrait is capturing the essence and personality of my subject.

We work together on a chosen piece you might have or I can choose for you. Together step by step I will teach you the process to bring an image of your beloved pet to a realistic beautiful piece of artwork, or show you the fundamentals on illustration to bring a book to life. I work in coloured pencil charcoal and acrylic paints.
