Patience is key when working with students. The key is to understand where a student is at, take the time to understand them and any possible gaps in their knowledge. From there, we can work to give them the confidence to solve problems themselves. So there are short term solutions like helping them with their homework and long term solutions like slipping in quick practice time to work on a skill that they may have missed.
