About Elizabeth

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth, and I am a University of North Texas graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Special Education. I am also a former 4th grade Math and Reading Teacher. I am passionate about helping elementary students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with students of varying abilities and learning styles, allowing me to create personalized lessons that meet each child's individual learning needs. I specialize in elementary reading and math and strive to make every lesson engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student's individual goals.

I understand that every child learns differently, and I believe that patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement are key to helping students thrive. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, overcoming challenges, and celebrating their progress.

As a tutor, I am committed to professionalism, clear communication, and helping every student build not only stronger academic skills but also the confidence to become an independent learner. I look forward to partnering with families to help their children reach their full potential and discover a love of learning.

About the lesson

As a University of North Texas graduate with a degree in Education and former classroom teacher, I believe every child can succeed when instruction is individualized to their specific needs. I specialize in elementary reading and math, helping students strengthen foundational skills while building confidence and a genuine love of learning.
Each lesson begins with a quick review and warm-up of previously learned concepts before introducing a new skill. I use engaging activities, hands-on practice, and positive encouragement to keep students motivated and actively involved. Throughout each session, I monitor progress, provide immediate feedback, and adjust my teaching to meet each student's individual needs. Every lesson ends with a review of key concepts and strategies students can continue practicing at home.

What sets me apart is my classroom experience and my commitment to creating a patient, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their growth. My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to help them become confident, lifelong learners.

My tutoring services are designed for elementary students (Kindergarten through 5th grade) who need support in reading, phonics, comprehension, writing, or math, whether they are catching up, staying on track, or looking for an extra challenge. I partner with families to create personalized learning plans that help every child reach their full potential.
