About Maya

I’m a dedicated and supportive Maths and Science tutor who genuinely cares about helping students succeed. I understand how overwhelming school can feel, especially when things don’t click straight away, so I create a calm, patient space where you can learn at your own pace without pressure.
I’ve achieved strong GCSE results and have experience explaining topics in a simple, clear way that actually makes sense. Students often find it easier to learn with me because I’m approachable, understanding, and able to adapt to different learning styles, including those who struggle with focus.
I teach because I truly enjoy helping others grow in confidence and realise their potential. Seeing my students go from feeling stuck to feeling capable and proud of themselves is the most rewarding part for me.

About the lesson

I get how frustrating Maths and Science can feel when nothing seems to click - I’ve been there, and that’s exactly why I teach differently. My lessons are calm, supportive, and completely tailored to you, so you never feel rushed or judged. I break everything down step by step until it finally makes sense, and I stay patient no matter how many times you need to go over something.

Students I work with don’t just improve their grades - they start to feel confident, capable, and actually enjoy learning again. I focus on building real understanding, boosting your confidence, and showing you exactly how to approach exams so you can achieve the highest results possible. You’ll always feel supported, understood, and proud of your progress.
