About Elena
I am a professional tutor offering 7+ years experience giving lessons in English, French, and English as a second language. I hold an honors degree from Dalhousie University in social anthropology, where I work as a tutor and as a teachers assistant. I am certified in Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL/TESOL) and in Intercultural Communication.

I tailor my classes to what my students need. Be that learning to communicate with those in the community, helping with school work, or improving grammar and vocabulary. I ensure lessons are relevant, and when possible, interactive with the community at large.
I offer one-on-one and group lessons to students of all ages. A typical class may include rehearsing grammar using stories, going over how to order at a cafe/read menu's, or playing games to learn new vocabulary.
I expect everyone (myself included) to come prepared with either material from their classes to go over, or ideas of the things that they are struggling with in daily life.
