About Xenia

Hi! My name is Xenia, and I am a professional fashion designer, artist, and creative educator based in Toronto, Canada. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design with a Minor in Business Essentials from Toronto Metropolitan University. My background combines traditional art, fashion illustration, design development, and creative storytelling.

Over the years, I have worked as a fashion designer, stylist, visual creator, and community educator, helping students build confidence in their artistic abilities while developing strong creative skills. I believe art should be enjoyable, encouraging, and accessible to everyone—whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or looking to improve your existing skills.

About the lesson

As a Creative Mentor, I offer personalized classes in Drawing, Painting, Illustration, Art, and Design Skills for students of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are a complete beginner picking up a pencil for the first time, a student looking to strengthen your artistic foundation, or an aspiring fashion designer wanting to develop your illustration skills, lessons are tailored to your individual goals and interests.

My teaching style is supportive, patient, and creative. I believe that everyone has artistic potential, and my goal is to help students build confidence while developing strong technical skills. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I customize each lesson based on the student's age, skill level, learning style, and personal objectives.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previous work and goals, followed by a demonstration of new techniques and guided practice. Students receive real-time feedback, encouragement, and practical exercises to help them improve between lessons. Topics may include sketching, shading, colour theory, composition, painting techniques, perspective, fashion illustration, character design, portfolio development, and creative problem-solving.

For younger students, lessons are engaging, interactive, and designed to make learning art fun while building fundamental skills. For teens and adults, lessons can be more structured and goal-oriented, whether that means preparing for school projects, developing a portfolio, learning a new hobby, or exploring a future career in art or fashion. What makes my lessons unique is the combination of professional industry experience and personalized mentorship.

As a working designer, I bring real-world creative knowledge into every lesson while creating a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and growing their abilities.

My goal is not only to teach artistic techniques but also to inspire creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for art and design. Whether your goal is to draw, paint, illustrate, or simply explore your creative side, I look forward to helping you develop your skills and bring your ideas to life.
