About Hunter
I am a Math tutor with over 5 years of experience and an MPhil in Mathematics. My teaching approach is holistic, focusing not just on concepts but also on reducing math anxiety. I work with learners of all ages to build confidence and foster a positive relationship with mathematics. By using growth mindset techniques, I help students see challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles. I personalize pacing to match each student’s needs, ensuring that no one feels left behind. Positive reinforcement is a key part of my methodology, encouraging steady progress and celebrating small victories. I have worked extensively with students who have struggled with math in the past or feel overwhelmed by complex topics. Through patience and structured guidance, they learn to approach problems with clarity and calm. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping students develop reasoning skills and practical problem-solving strategies. My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to make math enjoyable and accessible. I aim to transform frustration into curiosity and hesitation into confidence. With consistent support, students discover their innate ability to succeed in mathematics. My ultimate goal is to help learners transform their relationship with math and unlock their true potential.

My teaching approach in Maths focuses on building strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I emphasize breaking down complex equations and concepts into manageable, easy-to-follow steps. Students learn to approach challenges systematically, developing logical reasoning and critical thinking along the way. I cover topics such as algebra, calculus, discrete mathematics, probability, and statistics, connecting them to real-world applications.
I encourage active participation and problem-solving practice to make learning interactive and engaging. Complex problems are simplified using clear examples, ensuring that each student can grasp the core idea. I also focus on developing strategies for exams, assignments, and career-relevant analytical tasks.
Through dedicated support, students strengthen their confidence and master mathematical thinking. I guide them in connecting different topics, so they can approach new problems independently. With practice and structured guidance, they gain the ability to solve challenging questions efficiently. I aim to cultivate both competence and curiosity in every learner. My goal is to help students excel academically while building skills that are valuable beyond the classroom. Mathematical concepts become clear, practical, and enjoyable under my guidance.
