a neck injury led me to begin yoga for therapeutic reasons after physical therapy. The power of yoga to transform me made me continue!

I have my RN degree& then later got my MBA. Understanding the business process of assessment & planning had helped me create unique programs for students

i have practiced yoga for over 10 years. Like most yogis I would start & stop. About 5 years ago I made a choice to be consistent with my practice. The first step was becoming a 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor. Since then I have studied , and trained, with many Master level instructors. I am very involved in workshops & trainings , so that I can continue to learn.... And then share with others

About the lesson

Generally I go an initial assessment of students, at no charge. I like to identify their goals, strengths & limitations. This helps me tailor classes to fit the student.

I have worked with teen agents through seniors. Additionally I have worked with hearing impaired students, students with physical limitations, triathletes , Corporste clients and the general population

Find out what the teacher offers that is unique. Also inquire about guidelines for scheduling , cancelling etc. lastly, I would encourage students to find out if the teacher provided assists and feedback around the physical practice to keep their bodies safe.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to teach at Lululemon. Every Saturday they offer free community classes. I was representing our studio , as studio if the month. What I enjoyed was having close to 50 people gathered as a community practicing yoga , having fun & not taking themselves too serious

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
how the teacher will modify poses based on the students body type, any injuries etc.

id ask about adjusting to their level of experience, or lack of. As a student ID want to know about the environment . Is it quiet it is there music. Is it heated or not. How long is class & what " style" yoga will be provided.

Details

private lessons start st $60-$75. I welcome small groups to join together for semi private lessons. This format allows the cost to be shared, while maintaining the small 1:1 instruction.

additionally I teach from home & in a few studios & corporate arenas. Classes can be purchased in 4 week packages or ongoing . Contact me for specifics. My goal is to help as many people as possible experience the gift of yoga. To that end , I will work with you on schedules & pricing
