About Danielle

I integrate meditation and breathwork with my instruction on correct postures for common beginning asanas. I will guide you through your lessons building confidence in yourself and your practice!

I have always been pulled to yoga. Before I receivedmy degree in Integrative Health, I had viewed it as most do-- a great workout option. I began noticing my perspective change as I introduced meditation and sound healing into my practice. I realized I wanted to become an instructor once I began teaching my sons and family members yoga and meditation. I have now expanded this year into a small online business.

I have my undergrad in Integrative Health from Arizona State University, I have my 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification from the Yoga Alliance, and I have a certificate in children's yoga. Apart from that, I have been a yogi for 10 years and integrate yoga into my family's daily life.

About the lesson

Once I have been selected as your instructor, I will send an intake questionnaire that will provide information for how I will structure your session. From there, I will provide a Zoom link to the meeting for the time and date selected. I typically start with a meditation to ground us then do one round of the postures with lots of feedback followed by two to three more rounds that go more quickly. The end of the session ends with a small discussion for feedback on what worked for you and what didn't so I can continue to tailor the experience.

I work with true beginners. People who need assistance understanding breathwork integration with their movements, correct postures, and posture names that you will commonly hear in a class. I work with my students to build their confidence in themselves and their practice.

I also adore working with kids to introduce yoga concepts, moving their bodies, and bringing mindfulness to their routines.

Don't be afraid to ask for what you need! If you need more assistance with a posture or you don't understand the wording, discuss that with an instructor ahead of time. Also, if you don't jive with one, don't force it. I view finding a yoga instructor similarly to finding a therapist. You won't get what you need if you only look for a teacher who focuses on one area and you don't mesh well in other ways.
