About Sarah

I believe that yoga is for every body and seek to teach in a way that is welcoming and accommodating to humans of all abilities. I'm comfortable teaching everything from slow, stretchy, meditative styles of yoga, to vigorous physical movement (but my favorite thing to teach is yoga Nidra meditations, lovingly referred to as yoga naps).

I love to watch clients commit to themselves, their practice, and their wellness. I love sharing these ancient healing modalities and cheering clients on in their progress. I love meeting new humans, firming new friendships, and building community through shared practices and focuses. I love teaching!

20 years of loving the learning and practice of yoga lead me to become a teacher so that I could bring more yoga to more people, but bring it to where they were, outside of studios. And especially outside! Yoga outdoors is my favorite.

200hr YTT with Viveka Yoga School.

300+hrs ongoing training. Including; Preventing Common Injuries with Jason Crandall, Restorative Yoga with Jules Mitchell, Chakra Flow with Clara Roberts-Oss, Trauma Informed Yoga with Yoga Medicine, and many more.

About the lesson

We talk about the client's goals first. Talk about how yoga can help them with those specific goals. We will practice some physical asana movement together, and I use that time to gain information about movement patterns in the client's body. From there we discuss options for ongoing work, I make a bunch of suggestions about what I would have them work on, and hopefully we meet regularly to progress together.

From 8-80. Athletes, elderly, weekend warriors and daily practicers.

If you can, try as much yoga from different teachers in different styles as you are able. And what I always tell people is, when you're taking a class it's more about what's going on in your own mind-body connection and less about what's going on with other students or even the teacher. 'Try, and observe. Then decide.'

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
We are always up for taking yoga, but do remember that a yoga teacher is not a doctor. We can't diagnose, we don't cure, we guide and suggest and encourage, all within a yoga context.

For privates I charge $95 for initial assessment, a 90min season.

Subsequent private lessons are $75/hr per client.
